Use the length as one line on the sketch, not as a promise about usable reach. Start at the proposed reel location, trace the hose’s intended route, and include the turns around a barrel, fence corner, or gate. Test three positions on the sketch

Do not transfer a detail from one product to another because the reels look similar or share a brand. Match the title, listed length or capacity wording, and configuration on the live page. Then use model documentation for the questions that decide placement, such as mounting surface, included parts, and operating requirements.

Make the stored hose part of the plan

The reel is only one object in the route. Put a piece of string or painter’s tape where the hose would travel from the intended reel position, around the rain barrel, and toward the place you water.
